  Radiology Modules
  • Each module consists of 15 multiple-choice questions. For each question, a detailed audio review with explanations is provided after you have selected your answer. A score report for the module is provided after you have completed it.
  • Each module requires 1 token to play. Once you complete a module, you may repeat that module for a period of two weeks without using another token.

  Calculation Practice
Calculations #1

This module contains questions that require a variety of calculations. Included are problems dealing with the inverse square law, direct square law, 15% rule, radiation exposure rates, and changing exposure techniques by altering kVp, mA, and exposure time.



Calculations #2

This module contains calculation questions that deal with transformers, turns ratio, voltage and current, and voltage rectification.



Calculations #3

This module contains questions that will the use of various formulas and mathematical calculations. Included are questions dealing with magnification, radiation field size, image intensification tubes, exposure technique and film-screen speed, and radiographic unit power ratings.



Calculations #4

This module contains calculation and mathematical questions that deal with kVp, mAs, and radiation exposure; image magnification; focal spot blur; and characteristics of intensifying screens



Calculations #5

This module contains a variety of questions that will require formula application and mathematical calculations. Included are questions dealing with transformers, voltage, and current; the direct and inverse square laws; grids and exposure factors; equipment quality assurance; radiographic generators; image magnification; and film-screen systems and exposure factors.



  Radiographic Procedures Practice
Radiographic Procedures Practice #1

This module will test your knowledge of a wide range of Radiographic Procedures and Related Anatomy. Included will be specific questions concerning radiographic terminology, upper and lower extremities, cervical spine, abdomen, and upper and lower gastrointestinal procedures.



Anatomical Diagrams -- Upper Extremities

This module contains questions, along with diagrams, of the upper extremity. Included are questions concerning the shoulder girdle, elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand. These questions will test your knowledge of these anatomical structures as they are presented from anterior and/or lateral perspectives.



Anatomic Diagrams -- Lower Extremities

This module contains questions, along with diagrams, of the lower extremity. Included are questions concerning the foot, ankle, tibia-fibula, knee, and femur. These questions will test your knowledge of these anatomical structures as they are presented from anterior and/or lateral perspectives.



Radiographic Procedures -- Extremities

This module will test your knowledge of radiographic anatomy and positioning of the upper and lower extremities.



Radiographic Procedures -- Abdomen and GI Studies

This module will test your knowledge on anatomy and radiographic procedures and positioning of the abdomen and gastrointestinal barium studies.



Cranium Anatomy

This module contains questions dealing with the anatomy of the cranium, specifically the bones of the skull cap and skull floor.



Radiographic Procedures Practice # 2

This module contains a variety of questions dealing with general radiographic terms, specific radiographic procedures, and anatomy.



Radiographic Procedures Practice # 3

This module contains a variety of questions dealing with general radiographic terminology, and specific radiographic procedures and anatomy.



Anatomical Diagrams -- Bony Thorax and Mandible

This module contains questions along with anatomical diagrams concerning the bony thorax and the mandible.



Skeletal Pathology and Terminology

This module contains questions that deal with pathology terminology and specific pathologies of the skeletal system. Included will be questions concerning traumatic injuries, hereditary, inflammatory, and neoplastic pathologies of the skeletal system.



Pelvis and Vertebral Anatomical Diagrams

This module contains questions and diagrams dealing with anatomy of the male and female pelvis; and the cervical, thoracic, and lumbosacral spines.



Anatomy & Radiography of the Lower Extremity

This module contains questions concerning the anatomy and radiography of the lower extremities.



Radiographic Procedures Practice # 4

This module contains a variety of questions dealing with general radiographic terminology, and specific radiographic procedures and anatomy



  Safety Practice
Radiation Protection Practice # 1

This module will test your knowledge of radiation protection principles. It contains a variety of topics within the radiation protection content, such as basic properties of radiation, minimizing patient exposure, and biological effects of radiation.



Radiation Protection Practice # 2

This module contains questions dealing with radiation protection issues. Topics include radiation units, conversion between traditional and international system units, and NCRP standards for radiation safety.



Radiation Production Practice # 3

This module contains questions that deal with different types of radiation production. Included will be questions concerning the x-ray emission spectrum and the factors that influence that spectrum.



X-ray Interaction with Matter Practice

This module contains question that deal with the four principle x-ray interactions with matter: photoelectric, Compton scattering, classical scattering, and pair production.



NCRP Recommendations #1

This module contains questions that deal with the NCRP recommendations for protective devices, exposure limitations, and minimum distances for performing radiographic and/or fluoroscopic exposures.



NCRP Recommendations #2

This module contains questions that deal with the NCRP recommendations for protective devices, exposure limitations, and minimum distances for performing radiographic and/or fluoroscopic exposures.



Radiation Protection Practice # 4

This module contains questions that deal with different types of radiation production. Topics in this module will include filtration, the impact of radiation on the body, x-ray interactions with matter, radiation exposure, and calculations involving grids and the inverse square law.



  Image Production Practice
Equipment Operation and Maintenance Practice #1

This module tests your knowledge of x-ray generators, transformers, and rectification waveforms. Included will be questions dealing with transformer calculations, radiation production, and voltage ripples.



Equipment Operation and Maintenance Practice #2

This module will test your knowledge on a wide range of topics dealing with equipment operation and maintenance. Included will be questions regarding x-ray generators, transformers, and rectification waveforms; beam restriction; components of the radiographic tube; types of radiographic tubes; equipment calibration; recognition of malfunctions; intensifying screens and cassettes; and the fluoroscopic unit.



Equipment Operation and Maintenance Practice #3

This module will test your knowledge on a wide range of topics regarding equipment operation and maintenance. Included will be questions dealing with beam restriction; x-ray generators, transformers, and rectification; components of a basic radiographic unit; types of units; screens and cassettes; equipment calibration; recognition of malfunctions; and fluoroscopy.



Equipment Operation and Maintenance Practice # 4

This module will test your knowledge of x-ray generators, transformers, and rectification forms. Also included will be questions concerning radiographic film, screens, and cassettes.



Equipment Operation and Maintenance Practice #5

This module contains a variety of questions that deal with radiographic equipment, such as the x-ray tube, image intensification tube, fluoroscopy, and beam restricting devices.



Radiographic Equipment Diagrams

This module contains questions and diagrams of radiographic equipment, such as the image intensification tube, x-ray tube, and radiographic unit circuitry. Questions will include labeling various parts of the radiographic equipment.



Equipment Operation and Maintenance Practice # 6

This module contains a variety of questions that deal with radiographic equipment, such as the x-ray tube, image intensification tube, fluoroscopy, and beam restricting devices.



Digital Imaging

This module contains questions dealing exclusively with digital radiography. Included are questions dealing with computers, the digital image, PACS, and different uses of digial imaging.



Image Production and Evaluation Practice #1

This module will test your knowledge on a wide range of topics dealing with image production and evaluation. Included will be questions regarding technical factors, image quality factors, intensifying screen and grid use, and automatic processing.



Image Production and Evaluation--Image Quality

This module will test your knowledge of image quality factors, such as density, contrast, recorded detail, and distortion. Also, included in this module will be questions that deal with testing mechanisms for the image quality factors.



Technical Factors Practice

This module contains questions dealing with the various factors that will impact the use of radiographic exposure factors. Included are questions concerning kVp, mAs, image receptor speed, use of grids, and correcting over and underexposed images.



Image Production and Evaluation Practice # 2

This module will test your knowledge on a wide range of topics dealing with image production and evaluation. Included will be questions regarding technical factors, image quality factors, intensifying screen and grid use, and automatic processing.



Technical Factors Practice # 2

This module contains questions dealing with the factors that influence the use of radiographic technical factors. Included are questions concerning optical density, recorded detail, distortion. It also contains questions dealing with changes in image receptor speed and source to image receptor distance.



  Patient Care Practice
Patient Care Practice # 1

This module contains questions dealing with patient care issues. Included will be questions dealing with routine patient monitoring, contrast administration, patient assessment, patient care equipment, isolation techniques, and medical-legal issues.



Patient Care Practice # 2

This module contains questions dealing with a variety patient care issues. Included will be questions on routine patient monitoring, contrast administration and reactions, patient assessment, infection control and isolation techniques, and medical-legal issues.



Patient Care Practice # 3

This module contains questions dealing with a variety of patient care issues. Included will be questions concerning infection control, isolation techniques, routine patient monitoring, patient assessment and managing common medical emergencies, patient care equipment, and medical-legal issues.



Patient Care Practice # 4

This module contains questions on a variety of patient care issues. Included are questions concerning infection control, isolation techniques, routine patient monitoring and emergency situations, contrast administration, and contrast reactions.



Patient Care Practice # 5

This module contains question on a variety of patient care issues. Included are questions concerning infection control and isolation techniques, contrast administration and reactions, and the legal aspects of radiolography.



Patient Care Practice # 6

This module contains question on a variety of patient care issues. Included are questions concerning medical legal issues in radiography, routine patient monitoring, patient care equipment, and types of shock.



Patient Care Practice # 7

This module contains questions on a variety of patient care issues. Included will be questions concerning routine patient monitoring, infection control, contrast administration, patient care equipment, and the legal aspects of radiology.



Patient Care Practice # 8

This module contains questions dealing with a variety patient care issues. Included will be questions dealing with routine patient monitoring, contrast administration, patient assessment, infection control, moving and lifting patients, and medical-legal issues.
